Star Anise Infused Maple Syrup
We infuse our Amber Rich pure maple syrup with star anise, which adds a mild licorice flavor. Star anise is a main spice used in Chinese cooking, as well as in Vietnamese and Indian cuisine. Although this infusion is sweet, it works best in savory dishes. Use in Asian dishes, with roasted meats, and fruit desserts.
Sweet ways to eat
- Use in Chinese sauces, marinades, and soups
- Drizzle over chocolate gelato
- Soak pistachios, then top ice cream or yogurt
- Baste over roast duck or roast beef
- Drizzle over poached pears
- Add to an apricot pie recipe
