Syrup Season Tours

Every Friday morning 10-11 am from March 29 - April 26

Tour Includes:

  • A tour of our maple syrup making facility on the farm, with in-depth information about the whole process. Hopefully the sap will be flowing and the syrup will be boiling, so you can see and experience the maple syrup making process. (We cannot guarantee this, since it is weather dependent.)
  • A walk to and through the "sugarbush" (the maple trees where we collect sap). In the woods, you'll learn about how we tap the trees, and hopefully see the sap flowing through the lines. This part of the tour is weather dependent, and will require a bit of walking. Please come prepared to walk through snow and/or mud.
NOTE: You can skip this part of the tour if you wish. The sugarbush information will be covered in the first part of the tour, so you will only miss out on seeing it in action.

If you cannot come on any of the dates offered, we can do private tours for parties of 2 people or more. Once you purchase your tickets, we will contact you to set up a date and time.

If you need to cancel, you must cancel 24 hours prior to your scheduled tour. We will refund your ticket purchase, minus a $2 processing fee per ticket.

If you do not cancel and do not attend the tour, we will not issue a refund.

After syrup season, we will be adding summer tour dates. The summer tours will likely be on Saturday mornings.

Harwood Gold Maple Syrup Shop

The Shop, open for business

During the summer of 2015, we renovated "the shop," a small building on the farm that was used by our great-grandpa, grandpa, and dad as a wood-working shop and for any other fix-it projects needed on the farm. Growing up, the shop was one of my favorite places to be, and almost always contained either my grandpa or dad, tinkering away at something.

Because of it's location, we thought it would be the perfect building for our maple syrup shop on the farm. In the renovation to make it into "The Shop," we reused my grandpa's well-worn work bench as the counter, and the shelf wall is made of fragments of barn wood found around the farm. We are so happy to put this building back into use, and we didn't even need to change the name!
